Cover beauties from China to Japan

Cover beauties from China to Japan

The oriental world has always fascinated me from all points of view. Its history, places, culture, music, art, cuisine… and fashion too of course and everything related to it. One thing I have always loved is flicking through (just looking because reading, at least for me, is impossible!!) the most renowned fashion mags, paying special attention to the covers.

They often have a very definite style, like for example Vogue Japan, which tends to always have a white background and a beautiful woman in the centre (a celebrity or a model) and their text, which is so iconographic it always creates an overall hypnotising graphic effect, is even more unusual and alluring!

I have made a little selection by collecting some material from the Chinese and Japanese editions of Vogue. I was very curious to understand who were the most popular figures and I noticed that Victoria Beckham is undoubtedly in big demand, alongside Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Cara De le Vigne and Kendall Jenner. So, on that score, not so different from us. I’d like to be able to read what is written. Is there any pinella out there who knows these fantastic languages and could tell me how they communicate fashion? They often seem very ironic and particularly avant-garde… and I wonder, do we take inspiration from them or vice versa? I’d like to know what you think?
