As you know, due to chicken pox, Mia’s fourth birthday party had to be put off. It was supposed to be on 4 September, and instead we managed to celebrate it only on Wednesday afternoon. Can you guess the birthday party theme??? ahahaah! It was FROZEN of course!
We were in the park at Domus Borghese, a beautiful location in the heart of Rome, surrounded by lots of greenery, and it was all decorated like the kingdom of ice from the famous animated Disney film. Really spectacular!
There were lots of kids, not to mention our family’s dearest friends. While I liked the idea of having a party for Mia, I also wanted it to be a nice get-together for us grown-ups too, since we rarely get to meet up.
The watchword for that afternoon was comfort! In fact, we all had really casual outfits suitable for a party on the lawn!
Mia wanted to dress like her best friend Rebecca. Their identical outfits, shorts and t-shirt, are by Mango and were both given to them as a present by our friend Elena Santarelli who was there at the party, together with lots of other dear friends of mine. We were also very lucky, since after a somewhat dodgy weekend and early week weather-wise, Wednesday was fine and sunny!
The entertainer for the party was the legendary Pallina, with her entire entourage. She knows us well by now, and perhaps you remember her too, as I introduced her to you before. She’s always a big hit, brilliant!
But let’s move on to the cake: a copy of the ice palace from Frozen with its Princesses and the lovely snowman Olaf on the top! Incredibly beautiful, and really DELICIOUS, I think I had at least two large slices of it! 😀 It was made by two really talented girls, and if you’d like to take a peek of their creations, visit www.federicacicconicakes.it!
But that’s enough chit-chat… I’ll leave you with the photos of the party!
Have a great weekend everybody!!!
