Here we are, Pinelle! The second date with the absolute must-have pieces for your wardrobe this autumn/winter season! In the last post we looked at a few essentials, such as the vintage coat, the pleated skirt, the tweed blazer, the Bon-Ton bag and, last but not least the blouse with a bow… but we haven’t finished yet! Here we are with the second part and so let’s get going right away, starting with number six!
Number 6: the polo neck jumper. This is a comfortable top to be worn under a jacket, or perhaps matched with a more casual blouse. Whether it’s smooth, patterned, ribbed or two-tone, it is an easy piece to wear that is extremely comfortable! And of course, it is obviously perfect for keeping the cold out! It will often come in handy as a look-saver… believe me!
Number 7: over-the-knee suede boots. Simply beautiful and very sexy: boots that reach the knee or go just over the knee are truly one of this season’s must-haves. Whether you choose high heels or flats … they are always a guaranteed success. My advice is obviously to wear them with mini-skirts or dresses, for a truly chic effect! Our favourites are suede, but here too there’s something for everyone!
Number 8: wide-leg trousers. Short, just above the ankle, or also long, down to the ground, plain, tweed, or with slightly vintage optical patterns, you must give this season’s wide-leg trousers a try! Ok, it’s true: they’re not easy to wear for everyone but there are thousands of styles so you can be sure to find a pair that’s just right for you! From Zara, to Topshop, Mango, Max & Co well… there’s a wide range of options available from which you can choose your favourites! We still haven’t decided on ours… we love them all!
Number 9: fake fur. It could be a waistcoat, a jacket, a bomber jacket or a full out coat in fake fur, but one thing is certain; we will see lots of beautiful pieces this year, for all tastes and in all shapes and sizes!!! You simply have to try them out for a guaranteed cold-proof result! 😉
Number 10: the little black dress. A great classic, which we sometimes take so much for granted that we might even forget that we don’t have one in our wardrobe! This year there are no excuses for not having one, because there are so many of them around, with hosts of modern takes on a classic look. From lace panels to fake leather or fur, with scooped or V backs and thin belts designed to enhance the waistline. A truly timeless garment.
Pinelle, what do you think? Is that it or have we forgotten anything??
