Something that never goes out of fashion is the passion for Vintage clothes. And London is definitely the right place for those looking for something unusual at an affordable price!!!
I want to bring to your attention a vintage shop that is not yet very well known, but full of things you might find interesting. At times it’s difficult to know how to search through second-hand shops to find what we’re looking for, because they are packed with stuff but it’s all over the place… Blitz on the other hand is totally organised. You can find just about anything and everything: from Burberry trenches (practically new!) to camouflage jackets (very on-trend right now) or All Star shoes of all kinds at really low prices… and it all looks like it just left the shop!!!
There are typically English leather bags and shoes, cute little dresses for the evening and some really interesting pieces of vintage jewellery.
Before you leave, you can also have something to eat at the bar in the shop and chat to the young people who work there, all really nice. Or, come out of Blitz and have a wander in London’s busiest district, with the legendary Brick Lane and Spitalfields, the city’s coolest market (vintage obviously), nothing like Covent Garden, which is far too touristy nowadays. It’s easy to reach too, just get off the Tube at Liverpool Street.
Here are some photos from my trip to Spitalfields, where I bought a really fab necklace for just £8.00 in the most fun shop right now: Blitz (facebook.com/blitzlondon).
